The University Libraries offer individualized research consultations for faculty, students, and others who need in-depth assistance with finding sources. Whether you are new to campus or an experienced researcher, you are encouraged to sign-up for a consultation to make certain that you are taking full advantage of the resources and services of the Libraries. The Libraries provide consultations through a system of subject specialized librarians assigned to each of the University’s academic departments. Appointments can be made with these librarians at mutually convenient times. The consultations are conducted at one of the libraries and customized to meet your needs. At the consultation the librarian can:
  • Ensure that you are performing the most effective searches possible.
  • Train you in the use of relevant electronic resources and indexes.
  • Point out resources that you may not know about otherwise.
  • Assist you in ordering materials from other libraries.
