THOMASON, JAMES ARTHUR, 1878-1952

Biography;
Methodist clergyman; farmer; newspaper correspondent. Born– May 22, 1878, Greenville, S.C. Parents– James Monroe and Emma Anna Pinson Thomason. Moved to Marshall County, Alabama, in 1888. Married– Ella Sherrod Smith, 1907. Children–three. Education– attended local schools in Arab and Brashier’s Chapel area.  Wrote “South Fry,” a column of local news of the Fry Community, and “General History,” a column of local history, for several Guntersville newspapers. Died May 21, 1952.
