Education– University of Alabama, B.A.,1964;  M.A., 1968; University of Mississippi, Ph.D., 1975. English instructor at Murray State University, 1966-70; at the University of Mississippi, 1970-75; Northwest Mississippi Junior College, 1975-79.  Director, Yoknapatawpha Press, Oxford, after 1979.
