Education– Auburn University, B.A. Worked as police reporter, sports writer, Montgomery Advertiser; U.S. Air Force, 1955-1957; Information Officer, Randolph Air Force Base, 1957; United Press wire editor and a sportswriter for the Atlanta Journal, 1957-1967; creative director for Southern Living magazine and editor-in-chief of Oxmoor House, 1967-1992.
