Education– Alabama Polytechnic Institute, A.B.; Baylor University, A.M.; Mercer University, Ph.D.; Trinity University, LL.D. Teacher in Texas schools and colleges; North Texas State Teachers College, president, 1906-1923. Chairman, Texas State Board of Examiners, 1916-1910; President Texas State Teachers Association, 1905.  Awarded status of president emeritus, North Texas State Teachers College, 1923. Honorary LL.D., Trinity University. Died December 30, 1943.
