Entered the army during the Spanish-American War but discharged when it was discovered he was under age. During World War I, served as a lieutenant and captain in the U.S. Army Air Service. Assistant U.S. Attorney in Chicago, 1914-1917, 1919-1923; practiced law in Chicago.  Fellow of the American Society of Genealogists. Died January 2, 1965. Died January 2, 1965.
