Married– Carr Byron Barefield, 1983. Married Frederick Mitchell Jackson, December 10, 1993. . Education– Attended Huntingdon College for two years. Worked for Vulcan Materials Company, 1945-1950; Lincoln National Life Insurance Company, 1972-1981; executive secretary of the Birmingham Historical Society after 1982; served as secretary, vice-president and president of the Alabama Historical Commission. Honors; Alabama Historical Commission, Award of Merit, 1978. Died October 1, 2005.
