Biography;

Singer-songwriter; keyboardist.  Born May 8, 1940, Montgomery.  Parents– Frank and Cathryn Tennille.  Family moved to Balboa, California, in 1959. Married; Kenneth Shearer; married Daryl Dragon.  Education–attended Auburn University; performed with the musical group Auburn Knights as a student.  Formed the popular duo “The Captain and Tennille” with her husband Daryl Dragon in 1973; earned five gold albums; six gold singles, two platinum albums and one platinum single.  Won the Grammy Award for Record of the Year, 1976.
