Worked as a schoolteacher and later for the Sylacauga News, Dothan Eagle, Houston Press; editor and part owner of the Talladega Home, 1936-50. Republican candidate for governor of Alabama, 1954. Delegate to Republican National Convention, 1956, 1960, 1964. Member of Republican National Committee, 1961. Received a Neiman Travel Grant, 1956. Died March 7, 1968.
