Financial services firm executive.  Born December 10, 1929, Montgomery.  Education:  Huntingdon College, B.A., 1954; Harvard Business School, M.B.A., 1956.  1956-57:  Account representative, Sterne, Agee, and Leach, Montgomery; 1957-60:  administrator for the State of Alabama;  1960-76:  Thornton, Fraish and Gauntt, Montgomery; 1976-96–CEO, Frazier Lanier Co.;  1990-2007,  Chairman and CEO of the Enstar Group.  Military service:  Korean conflict,  Tank Platoon leader; awarded the Silver Star.  Honors:  Doctor of Humane Letters, Huntingdon College, 2000; CEO emeritus, Enstar, 2007.
