U.S. Navy, 1943-1946; teacher, Veterans Administration, 1950-1951; Frisco City Sun; Monroe Journal; regional correspondent for three other Alabama newspapers, 1951-1961; Announcer and Program Director, WMFC radio, Monroeville; partner, Kelly Mill Mercantile Co., Repton, Ala. Member; Alabama State Poetry Society; Alabama State Council on the Arts and Humanities; Pensters (Mobile-Fairhope).
