Education– East Central Junior College, Decatur, Miss., 1937-1938; University of South Alabama, 1970-1973. U.S. Merchant Marine, 1941 to retirement in 1968; genealogical and local history researcher, 1975-; historical research consultant, University of South Alabama, 1980-1985. Contributed the chapter, “Florida,” in Kenn Stryker-Rodda’s book, Genealogical Research; Methods and Resources, Washington, D.C., American Society of Genealogists, 1983.
