Education– Lincoln Memorial University, Tenn.; Columbia University. Granddaughter of Julia Truitt Bishop, early Birmingham newspaperwoman; spent part of her childhood in Louisiana. Quit college when stock market crashed; worked in New York.  Dies May 12, 2000.
