Taught at Johns Hopkins; Princeton; Kenyon; University of Maryland; York University, Canada. Awarded Fulbright fellowship, Oxford; Leonard Nelson Foundation Prize. Member– American Philosophical Association, Canadian Philosophical Association, Mind Association, American Society for Eighteenth Century Studies.
