Biography:

University professor. Born January 21, 1904, Bradley Dam, Escambia County, Ala. Parents–Battle C. and Alice Clements Mancill. Married–Dora Mae Dalee.  Children–three. Education– B.A., University of Alabama, 1926; M.A., 1927; Ph.D., University of Chicago, 1934. Employed by University of Alabama, 1927-1966; director, Redstone Arsenal Graduate Institute, Huntsville, 1951-1954; head, Mathematics Department, University of Alabama, 1955.  Died July 30, 1971.
