Employed as a attorney, Tuscaloosa, 1888; Alabama House of Representatives, 1894-1896; judge of the City Court, Tuscaloosa, 1896-1903; Code Commissioner, Alabama; Associate Justice, Alabama Supreme Court, 1908-1919; counselor, Governors Kirby and Brandon.
