U.S. Army, 1942-1945; newspaper reporter and editor; wrote for several Alabama papers; owner of the Walker County Times, 1945-1960; printing and supply business, 1960-1963; administrative aide to U.S. Representative Carl Elliott, 1955-56. Press secretary and campaign aide to Governor George Wallace, 1962-65. Owned and operated Viewpoint Publications, publisher of Alabama and Georgia History textbooks, after 1967; Viewpoint Enterprises, a political consulting firm, after 1969. Member Junior Chamber of Commerce; Jasper Kiwanis; American Legion (Commander, Alabama Department), and other civic organizations. Died January 23, 2015.
