Practiced law in Birmingham after 1886; served in Alabama State Legislature during 1896 and 1897; associate judge, Criminal Court of Jefferson County, 1901; senior judge, 1905. Democrat, Mason, Knight of Pythias, and Knight of Honor. Died June 16, 1923.
