Librarian. Born–February 27, 1880, ┬áDayton, Marengo County. Parents– William J. and Margaret (Jemison) Prowell. Education– Hollins College, Howard College, and Columbia University. Employed by the New York Public Library, 1905-1912; head of Reference at Birmingham Public Library, 1912-1949. Member League of American Penwomen, Alabama Association for the Blind, and the Birmingham Writers Club. Served as treasurer of the Alabama Library Association. Died 1949.
