Served as principal in Indiana schools; instructor at the University of Wyoming, 1913-1915; Hendrix College, Conway, Ark.; taught at Birmingham-Southern College, 1920-1939; Millsaps College, 1939-1946; Louisiana College, 1946-1961; Whitworth College in Mississippi, 1961-. Died December 4, 1968.
