Biography:

Teacher, writer, clerical worker. BornРOctober 20, 1862, Huntsville. ParentsРZebulon Pike (an early mayor of Huntsville) and Williametta (Eason) Davis. EducationРPrivate tutors. Taught in public schools in Alabama, Florida, Mississippi, Tennessee, and Arkansas, 1893-1900; worked as a stenographer and newspaper writer; held various government positions, including deputy clerk for U.S. District Court, Northern District of Alabama, 1901-05. Died June 10, 1936.
