Interests/Position I am an associate professor in School of Library and Information Studies where I coordinate the Organization of Information area courses including the development of an advanced course on the topic of metadata (cultural heritage image description). My primary research interests fall into the general area of cooperative organizing theory, history, and practice, including systems design and development. From a digital humanities perspective, this research addresses the challenges of textual transmission to digital formats and is based in part on the work of textual scholar John Bryant’s concept of the fluid text.
