Database Trial Notes
With a focus on exploring new resources, the University Libraries will selectively trial new databases twice a year during the fall and spring semesters. The trials will be requested by librarian liaisons and will typically run for 30 days. We encourage UA students, faculty and staff to examine these resources and provide input about their usefulness, quality of content, and relevance to the programs and research at The University of Alabama. Material from trials should not be incorporated into syllabi or assigned work until the Libraries determine that the resource can be purchased or subscribed to.
For information about beginning a trial, or to send your evaluation and feedback please contact Michael Arthur, Head of Resource Acquisition and Discovery.
*Acquisitions decisions will depend on the feedback received, assessment from librarians, pricing models, and the availability of funding
