Born&#8211; April 27, 1856, Tuskegee. Parents&#8211; William Parish (Chief Justice of\u00a0the Alabama Supreme Court)\u00a0and Elvira Frances (Morgan) Chilton. Married&#8211; Mabel Cecilia Pierce, December 3, 1878. Children&#8211; Nine. Education&#8211;\u00a0left school at the age of fifteen after the death of his father. After studying for the ministry he was licensed to preach in July 1877 in the Methodist Episcopal Church at Court Street Church in Montgomery.
