Taught at Vanderbilt University, Winthrop College, Newberry College; head of the Department of History and Political Science at Huntingdon College after 1945; served as visiting professor of history during summer sessions at the University of Alabama. Contributed articles to historical journals and encyclopedias. Honors&#8211; Outstanding Educator of America Award, 1972.
