Parents&#8211; Brian A. and Sara Virginia (Trull) Cash. Married&#8211; Ovella Clara Sherrill, May 4, 1926. Children&#8211; Three. Education&#8211; State Secondary Agricultural School in Hamilton, 1921; attended Troy State College; graduated from the University of Alabama, 1935. &#8220;Ran away&#8221; when he was eighteen years old; volunteered for military service and served, 1918-1920, one year on the Mexican border and one year in France; played semi-professional baseball; coached football; and was a metallurgist for United States Steel Corporation.
