Education&#8211; Mississippi State University, B.S.; University of Tennessee, M.S, 1948; University of Illinois, Ed.D., 1954\u00a0Served in the U.S. Army, 1943-1945; decorated with the Bronze Arrowhead. Principal in Maben, Miss.; taught at Wood Junior College and Clarke Memorial College in Mississippi before\u00a0becoming a professor of education at Howard College&#8212;now Samford University&#8211; in 1956.
