Education&#8211; Washington University, B.S.; University of Alabama, M.S; Oklahoma State University, Ph.D. Served in the U.S. Navy during World War II; research contract administrator with the St. Louis Ordnance District of the U.S. Army Ballistic Missile Agency; moved to Guntersville in 1956; associated with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration&#8217;s George C.
