Married&#8211; Lillian Collins, May 23, 1926.\u00a0 Children&#8211; one.\u00a0 Education&#8211; University of Georgia, 1923. While at the university worked on the university paper, The Georgia Cracker; worked on the Worth County local newspaper\u00a0and the Asheville (N.C.) Citizen and the Asheville Times. Founded and sold two newspapers.
