Trained in pediatrics at Meharry at at Kern General Hospital, Bakersfield, California.\u00a0\u00a0In private practice in the Los Angeles\/Watts area and later in Las Vegas; served as pediatrician for the Los Angeles City School System for 17 years; retired from medical practice in 1980.\u00a0 Member and president, Charles R. Drew Medical Society.
