Calhoun Community College; Alabama A and M; degree in religious studies. Employed by the U.S.House of Representatives for 20 years. Conducts genealogical research and presents workshops on genealogy. Active in historical preservation; took the lead in having serveral sites listed on historical registers, including\u00a0the Carver School building in Decatur.\u00a0\u00a0Member of the Alabama New South Coalition; Decatur Conventon Bureau; Muscle Shoals National Heritage Board; Decatur Cultural Heritage Alliance Board,\u00a0 the Morgan City Genealogical Society, and other cultural organizations.
