Worked as an accountant&#8217;s clerk\u00a0at TVA, 1940&#8217;s. \u00a0Began writing for\u00a0magazines and newspapers in 1940; worked as\u00a0a staff writer for the <em>Southern Hotel Journal<\/em>.\u00a0 Member of the Alabama Quill Club and the National League of American Penwomen; president of the Alabama Writers Conclave;\u00a0 organizing president of the Mobile Branch of the National League of American Penwomen.
