Taught at\u00a0Samaldas College in Bhavanagar, India, 1949-1950; employed, Government of Bombay Guidance Bureau, 1950-1951; employed, B.M. Institute in Ahmedabad, India, 1957-1965; taught psychology and sociology, \u00a0Jacksonville State University, 1965-1967; University of Alabama at Birmingham, 1970-. Fulbright Senior Scholar, 1965-1967. Member; International Sociological Association; American Sociological Association. Awarded emeritus status on his retirement at UAB.
