Born&#8211; Oct. 26, 1921, in St. Paul, Minn. Parents&#8211; Francis Scott Key and Zelda (Sayre) Fitzgerald. Married&#8211; Samuel Jackson Lanahan. Children&#8211; Three. Married&#8211; Grove Smith. Education&#8211; Vassar College, B.A., 1942. . Wrote for Washington Post and New York Times; contributed to several periodicals; with her first husband, popular hosts in Washington in the 1950&#8217;s and 1960&#8217;s; active supporter of charitable causes and the Democratic Party. \u00a0moved to\u00a0Montgomery in 1973\u00a0and lived there \u00a0the last years of her life.
