Education&#8211; attended Huntingdon College; studied writing at University of Alabama under Hudson Strode and Edwin Kimbrough. Reporter for Montgomery Advertiser in late 1940s; assistant publicity director for State of Alabama; owned building materials business in Prattville which burned in 1958; he and wife ran Beaux-Arts Studios.
