Education&#8211; attended Alabama Polytechnic Institute and Moos Business College (Atlanta); attended medical school at Vanderbilt University; College of Physicians and Surgeons, Baltimore, grad. 1886. Entered U.S. Marine Hospital Service, 1887; assistant physician in New York State Hospital for the Insane for 5 years; medical superintendent of Craig Colony for Epileptics, 1894-1908.
