Education&#8211;  University of Alabama, B.S., 1956.\u00a0 Played football at Alabama; quarterback for  Green Bay Packers, 1956-1971; assistant coach, 1972-1975; general manager  and head coach for Packers; played in National Football League&#8217;s Pro  Bowl, 1960-1962 and 1966; founded Starr Motor Co. in Birmingham.
