Received University of California traveling fellowship to Spain 1925-1926; Guggenheim fellowship in Spain 1929-1930; member American Association of University Professors, Quivira Society, Asociacion de Escritores y Artistas Americanas&#8211;Cuba, and Instituto Panamericano de Geografia e Historia&#8211;Mexico.
