Education&#8211;  public and private schools in Alabama; Ward&#8217;s Seminary in Nashville.  Served on the fiction and feature staff of Uncle Remus Magazine and Southern Women&#8217;s Magazine, woman&#8217;s page editor for the Montgomery Advertiser; director of Alabama Department of Archives and History, 1920-1935.  Completed her husband&#8217;s History of Alabama and Dictionary of Alabama Biography.
