Employed as teacher by Asheville, N.C. city schools, 1940-1941; U.S. Army, 1941-1945&#8211;discharged with rank of S\/Sgt; reporter, Columbus Enquirer, 1945-1946; attorney in private practice, Huntsville, 1949-1962, 1980-94; judge, Madison County Court, 1962-72; Madison County General Sessions Court, 1973-74. Wrote for the Fort Benning Bayonet, editor, army field manuals.\u00a0 President, Alabama Association of Intermediate Court Judges.
