Born&#8211; November 18, 1837, Roberson County, North Carolina. Parents&#8211;\u00a0Peter and\u00a0Maria (McQueen) McEachin. Married&#8211;Eudora Somerville, January, 1861.\u00a0 Children&#8211;six.\u00a0Served as\u00a0officer in the Confederate Army, 1861-1864. After the War moved to Tuscaloosa and\u00a0practiced law until his death in 1909. Founder of the <em>Southern Law Journal<\/em>, 1876<em>; <\/em>served as its\u00a0editor and publisher until 1878.\u00a0Contributed articles to local newspapers and to legal journals.\u00a0President, Alabama Bar Association, 1891-92.\u00a0Land commissioner, University of Alabama, 1901-05.
