Employed by Department of Pensions and Securities, Marengo County, 1928-1930; child welfare supervisor, 1930-1934; taught school, Laurel, Miss., and Jackson and Perry Counties, Ala.; wrote a weekly column for the Demopolis Times, the Marion Times Standard, and the White Bluff Chronicle of Demopolis.
