Served in the U.S. Army, 1941-1945 (achieved rank of major); interned, John Gaston Hospital, Memphis, 1941-1942; practiced medicine, Franklin, Tenn., 1945-1947; resident, Vanderbilt University and V.A. Hospital, Nashville, 1947-1950; practiced medicine in\u00a0Florence, Ala., 1950-1999. Member, Coffee and Colonial Manor Hospitals, Florence; board of directors, Colonial Manor Hospital; Chief of Staff, Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital; Chief of Staff, Humana Hospital of Florence.
