Born&#8211; July 30, 1873, Lebanon, Ala. Parents&#8211; Thomas Reed and Lucinda Jennie (Baxter) Jacoway.\u00a0\u00a0 Married&#8211;Minnie Mae Moody, 1897.\u00a0 Children&#8211;three. Education&#8211;\u00a0 Winchester Normal College, Tenn.; graduated 1894.\u00a0Taught school several years; served as\u00a0assistant postmaster and then postmaster at Fort Payne.\u00a0\u00a0Owned department store, Jacoway &amp; Hamilton&#8217;s, 1926-1960. Member; Fort Payne City Council; chairman, Dekalb County Democratic Party. Founder, Dekalb County Fiddler&#8217;s Convention; member, Civitan Club.\u00a0His &#8220;A Brief History&#8230;&#8221; was first published in the Fort Payne Times-Journal in August, 1925.
