Education&#8211; Graduate of Margaret Booth Preparatory School, Montgomery, 1916; B.A.,\u00a0Goucher College, 1920. Teacher at Margaret Booth and at Goucher. Active in women&#8217;s suffrage crusade in Alabama. Contributed short stories and essays\u00a0to Century Magazine, Mercury, Vanity Fair, and other periodicals. Her novels and short stories examined the effects of peculiarly Southern attitudes toward women, marriage, money, and race, on Southern characters.
