Taught at Indiana State University, 1967-1969; Florida State University&#8217;s Canal Zone Branch, 1969-1973; visiting professor at Ohio Wesleyan University, 1973-1974; University of Alabama, 1974-2006.\u00a0 Member American Historical Association; Conference on Latin American History. Received the A.B. Thomas Award from the Southeastern Council of Latin American Studies.\u00a0 Awarded professor emerita status on her retirement from the University of Alabama.
