In this disaster scenario, we lose our delivery software (or its functionality).
An example might be if a hacker broke in and mucked up the works, or deleted key files. Another example might be if the server hard drive is failing, and a chunk of code is corrupt.
The proposal under consideration is to back up a copy of our software at least weekly, and store it on an different server an/or an external hard drive which can be kept off-site for greater security.
Then the task would be to restore the software from the latest backup available; if the OIT backups are inaccessible or destroyed, we would have our own separate backup that would not be more than a week old.
