The procedures for obtaining material from the Williams Collection are much the same as those outlined below. See Procedure Detail for a link to specific instructions.

Basic Procedure for Request and Return

Digital Services (DS) Request & Receipt of Hoole Materials:

  • DS prepares information, fills out paperwork, and contacts curators
  • Curator retrieve material, prepare forms, and schedule transfer
  • Curator deliver material, and paperwork is completed by both parties
  • DS places material where it belongs and completes local paperwork
  • Both parties store documentation appropriately

Return of Materials from DS to Hoole:

  • DS prepares information, fills out paperwork, and contacts curators
  • Curator prepare forms and schedule transfer
  • Curator bring cart to Digital Services to retrieve material, and paperwork is completed by both parties
  • Curator returns material to the stacks
  • Both parties store documentation appropriately

If Curator Recalls Materials

  • Curator prepares information and contacts DS
  • DS prepares materials for return, complete local paperwork, and schedule transfer
  • Curators bring cart to Digital Services to retrieve material, and paperwork is completed by both parties
  • Curators return material to the stacks
  • Both parties store documentation appropriately
