Nitin is a professional guitarist, and is completing his MS in [[http://www.slis.ua.edu/drupal5/} Library and Information Studies]].  In his spare time, he maintains a website called [[http://www.geocities.com/nitaro74/| The Humane Guitarist]] which is dedicated to the technique and health of the classical guitarist.  He brings his musical professional expertise to our audio recording and editing.  In addition, he is researching audio technical metadata and best practices, such as that spelled out in [[http://www.dlib.indiana.edu/projects/sounddirections/papersPresent/index.shtml| Sound Directions]], to help inform our choices and directions.  Easy-going, conscientious, and always ready to help, Nitin is an invaluable member of our team.

Nitin has been a student worker with us since 2006, but was recently promoted to full time staff as Digitization Specialist. He brings remarkable audio expertise, in particular, to our team.  We have been very impressed with the creativity and conscientious diligence he brings to his work.  Already he is exploring methods of improving our online delivery of audio recordings, and their transcripts, to our users.

Nitin has been a student worker with us since 2006, but was recently promoted to full time staff as Digitization Specialist. He brings remarkable audio expertise, in particular, to our team. We have been very impressed with the creativity and conscientious diligence he brings to his work. Already he is exploring methods of improving our online delivery of audio recordings, and their transcripts, to our users.
