Lauren is in the School of Library Science, in the Book Arts program. She previously studied art at Washington University in St. Louis. Lauren is a freelance writer and illustrator. In 2000, her alphabet book What do Animals do on the Weekend? won the Nancy Kranzberg book of the Year Award at Washington University.
